With increasingly extensive application of internet, the concept of “Internet Plus” was firstly proposed in the industry in 2012 and is consistent with the concept of “internetization” that emerged in 2007. Simply speaking, it is important to combine the internet with traditional industries to promote the development of all industries and sectors.

It is put forward that in the Guiding Opinions of the State Council on Actively Pushing forward the “Internet Plus” Action that was approved by Premier Li Keqiang in 2015, we should uphold basic principles of openness, sharing, integration, innovation, reform, transformation, leading, leapfrog, safety and orderliness, give full play to the large-scale and application advantages of China’s internet, adhere to reform, innovation and market demand orientations, and spare no efforts to make the integration of internet with economic and social areas wider and deeper. In 2018, the integration of internet with economic and social areas will be further deepened. New industries based on the internet will become new driving forces for economic growth. The role of the internet in supporting mass entrepreneurship and innovation will be further strengthened. The internet will become an important way to provide public services. The pattern of collaboration and interaction between network and real economies will be basically formed. In 2025, the ecological system of the “Internet Plus” industry featuring networking, intellectualization, service and collaboration will be basically improved. The new economic form of the “Internet Plus” will take initial shape. The “Internet Plus” will become an important driving force for economic and social innovative development.
